Tracey M. Flynn, M.Ed.

Tracey has worked in adult education over the last twenty-five years and has presented on certification, evaluation and instructional design issues at colleges and national conferences. She's the author of books & tools on certification and workshops on a range of instructional design areas.

 

She’s held a range of positions from a; Performance Consultant, Adjunct Professor, Strategist, Curriculum Manager, and Certification Architect, to Program Manager, Project Manager, Instructional Designer and Developer.

 

She holds a Masters of Education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and has been a member of the American Society for Training and Development and the International Society for Performance Improvement, Association of Test Publishers, and Certification Networking Group.

 

Certification is one of Tracey's areas of expertise, she provides you the advantage of a comprehensive perspective on certification as she’s worked the issue both externally and internally. She provides real hands-on experience in all aspects of certification program development and strategy, having created programs for major coporations and lead employee development workshops to take on certification test development.

 

She has written the book on building a certification program, Unlocking the Power of Certification, How to Develop Effective Certification Programs.

Beyond "building" a certification program, she saw a need for a book designed for all of those existing programs and relased, Certify Like Your Business Depends On It. (April 2012). This practical guidebook provides programs with a tool to rapidly visualize their certification business strategy. The book provides step-by-step guidelines to help programs facilitate their planning sessions.

Certification is but one specialty, Tracey has taught instructional design at the graduate school level and for corporate employee development. She's put theory into practice and worked with a range of clients regarding the full gamut of instructional design solutions and assessing training/employee development needs.

 

Tracey takes a real sense of ownership and commitment to leading her projects. She’s approachable and willing to provide information to educate her team members, sponsors and mentors junior associates to transfer the knowledge. She does what it takes to reach project milestones, adjusts for the unexpected and communicates accordingly to achieve a quality product and create a comprehensive program.
